Darrell Hinson practices law in our offices in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Hinson grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with high honors with a degree in Business Administration and Economics in 1992. He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the Florida State University College of Law in 1995. Mr. Hinson has been licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia since 1995.
Mr. Hinson began his legal career in Tallahassee, Florida, representing insurance companies and their policyholders in personal injury cases. He has lived and practiced law in Georgia since 1998. Mr. Hinson worked as a litigation and trial lawyer with one of the largest automobile insurers in Georgia, and handled the defense of personal injury cases throughout metropolitan Atlanta and North Georgia. Mr. Hinson has tried personal injury cases in both Florida and Georgia.
Immediately before joining Swope, Rodante P.A., Mr. Hinson worked as corporate claims attorney for the same group of insurance companies, where he handled claims and managed litigation throughout the State of Georgia involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and punitive damages. Mr. Hinson was also extensively involved in consulting on insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
After over a decade of experience with the insurance industry, Mr. Hinson realized his heart was on the side of representing injured individuals and their families. He joined Swope, Rodante P.A. in 2007 with the opening of our Atlanta office. Since that time, he has exclusively represented individuals who have been harmed by the negligence or bad faith of other people or insurance companies.

Professional & Community Involvement
Mr. Hinson is a member of the State Bar of Florida (1995), and the State Bar of Georgia (1995). He is admitted to the U.S. District Courts of the Northern Districts of Florida and Georgia. He is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
