Henry Gyden

Henry Gyden has joined Swope, Rodante P.A. as an appellate specialist. Mr. Gyden grew up in Tampa, Florida and graduated with honors from Florida A&M University with an accounting degree and received his law degree from the University Of Florida College Of Law. Mr. Gyden has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1998. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in appellate practice.
Mr. Gyden began his legal career as a law clerk for the 13th Judicial Circuit in the family law and civil litigation divisions. He also worked as a senior law clerk at the Second District Court of Appeal. Before joining Swope Rodante P.A., Mr. Gyden worked as an associate for Carlton Fields, P.A. representing insurance companies and corporations. Mr. Gyden has nearly a decade of experience handling civil cases and appeals in both state and federal court. In his capacity as an appellate specialist, he will provide intellectual support to our principal litigation attorneys to help to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients, both at the trial level and on appeal.
During his distinguished legal career, Mr. Gyden has served as chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association Appellate Practice Section and currently serves as a member of both the Executive Council for The Florida Bar Appellate Practice Section and The Florida Bar Appellate Court Rules Committee, the latter being the committee that drafts many of the rules of appellate procedure utilized by the courts in Florida today. Mr. Gyden is currently the First Vice President
of GEBA, the George Edgecomb Bar Association.
