Darrell Hinson joined Swope, Rodante P.A. in 2007 with the opening of our office in Atlanta, Georgia. Before joining our team, Mr. Hinson was a corporate claims attorney for one of Georgia’s largest property and casualty insurers, where he handled claims and managed litigation throughout the state involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and punitive damages. Mr. Hinson was also extensively involved in consulting on insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
Mr. Hinson has tried cases in both Florida and Georgia. He began his legal career in Tallahassee, Florida, representing some of the nation’s largest insurance companies and their policyholders in civil trial litigation. He has lived and practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1998. Before his work as corporate claims counsel, Mr. Hinson defended policyholders and insurers in personal injury litigation throughout metropolitan Atlanta and North Georgia.
Mr. Hinson grew up in North Central Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with high honors with a degree in Business Administration and Economics. He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the Florida State University College of Law. Mr. Hinson has been licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia since 1995.
Mr. Hinson’s practice focuses on insurance coverage, insurance bad faith and significant personal injury cases.

Professional & Community Involvement
Mr. Hinson is a member of the State Bar of Florida (1995), and the State Bar of Georgia (1995). He is admitted to the U.S. District Courts of the Northern Districts of Florida and Georgia. He is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
