Kristen Collins joined Swope, Rodante P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney shortly after graduating from law school. Ms. Collins earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from New College of Florida, the Honors College of Florida in 2011 and later earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Emory University School of Law in 2015.
As an undergraduate student, Ms. Collins received two academic scholarships and interned at the Florida Office of Attorney General and with the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy. Her time in these positions gave her an appreciation for civil justice and solidified her decision to pursue law.
During law school, Ms. Collins clerked with a prestigious law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, and the ACLU of Georgia. While clerking she advocated for those with disabilities and strived to help those who needed it most.
While Ms. Collins had several hand-on experiences in law school, she also excelled academically. She received a scholarship to attend law school and was awarded two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, an award given to the highest grades achieved in a class, for her work in her legal writing courses. She also was elected to be a SBA representative. She was selected to be a member of the Moot Court Team, and was designated as the best oral argument by the Georgia Supreme Court among the “top four” first-year law students who competed.
Ms. Collins made the Dean’s List twice during Law School and graduated with honors. She was part of the prestigious organizations of Lamar Inn of Court and Emory Public Interest Committee. While she was not working or studying, she volunteered her time doing pro-bono work to help veterans facing disability with the Emory Volunteer Clinic for Veterans.
Now an associate attorney with Swope, Rodante P.A., Ms. Collins embraces her role as an advocate for those who have been catastrophically injured or mistreated by insurance companies. She works with a deep commitment to helping our clients receive the justice they deserve.
