Brandon Cathey Planned to Speak at FJA Annual Convention
Firm partner Brandon Cathey will be a speaker at the upcoming Florida Justice Association’s Annual Convention taking place June 10th-13th at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista. Cathey plans to present a lecture entitled Insurance Bad Faith Legislative Update on Friday, June 12th at 11:10am during the Annual Review: 2015 Legislative Changes & Notable Cases Influencing Your Practice Program Co-Chairs on.
Founded in 1961, the Florida Justice Association is committed to upholding and strengthening the civil justice system in an effort to safeguard Florida’s citizens and consumers. The Florida Justice Association works in the legislative, political and public arenas to ensure that Floridians know and understand the importance of their rights to justice and to make certain that these rights, which are at the very core of what it means to be American, are safeguarded and protected. This year’s event will provide an opportunity for Florida attorneys to gather and discuss developing trends in the law.
Having formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association, Brandon has handled and litigated hundreds of cases against insurance companies. His lecture will update attendees on changes in legislative law in Florida. In addition to his involvement with the Florida Justice Association, Brandon is currently a director of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association and an officer of Taxpayers Against Insurance Bad Faith. With an unyielding commitment to helping to change his clients’ lives for the better, Brandon has earned a strong reputation in the legal community.
