A commercial general liability policy is an insurance issued to businesses to protect them against claims of bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, and advertising injury. Property damage coverage includes not only premise liability, but also any liability that might arise from the business’s operations or products. A standard policy also covers the costs to defend a lawsuit against the business, and the resulting judgment or settlement.
