PRESS RELEASE: Grant Lopresti Recognized with Swope, Rodante Vanguard Award
The Swope, Rodante Vanguard Award Selection Board is pleased to share that Steinbrenner High School senior, Grant Lopresti, has been selected as the 2018 March Student Athlete of the Month.
Grant plays varsity football and is currently a team captain of the team. Along with leading by example, he doesn’t hesitate to put in the extra hour and help his teammates on the field. His football coach, Andres Perez-Reinaldo, nominated him because he dedicates his time to what he loves, and he’s an overall well rounded student athlete.
A true example of a Swope, Rodante Vanguard Award Student Athlete of the Month, Grant gives his time back to the community by volunteering at numerous local organizations including Junior Achievement of Tampa, Habitat for Humanity, Metropolitan Ministries, Pyramind. Even with his busy schedule and while taking AP classes, he has maintained an unweighted GPA of 8.2, putting him at #2 in a class of about 2,400! After graduating from high school, he will continue his education and is currently considering Harvard, Vanderbilt and Duke.
Congratulations Grant! We wish you the very best in all your future endeavors!
