As a surviving minor child of the deceased, you may be entitled to recover:

• The value of the lost support and services from the date of the deceased’s injury to his or her death, with interest
• The future loss of support and services from the date of death, reduced to present value
• For the loss of parental companionship, instruction, and guidance
• For mental pain and suffering from the date of injury

As a surviving parent of a minor child, you may be entitled to recover:

• The value of the lost support and services from the date of the deceased’s injury to his or her death, with interest
• The future loss of support and services from the date of death, reduced to present value
• For mental pain and suffering from the date of injury
• Medical or funeral expenses you paid due to the deceased’s injury or death

As a surviving parent of an adult child, you may be entitled to recover:

• The value of the lost support and services from the date of the deceased’s injury to his or her death, with interest
• The future loss of support and services from the date of death, reduced to present value
• For mental pain and suffering from the date of injury if there are no other survivors
• Medical or funeral expenses you paid due to the deceased’s injury or death

As the estate of the deceased, you may be entitled to recover:
• Loss of earnings of the deceased from the date of the deceased’s injury to his or her death, with interest
• Loss of the prospective net accumulations of an estate, reduced to present value
• Medical or funeral expenses the estate paid due to the deceased’s injury or death
