What Happened
What If You Couldn’t Remember
“I was in the hospital for almost two months and I don’t remember any of it.”
Todd Cabral sustained massive injuries after being involved in a motorcycle accident in 2011. Todd and his then girlfriend, Tricia Whidden, prioritized his wellbeing above all else after the accident. While recovering in the hospital, Todd’s memory was gone. It wasn’t until months later that he could remember about half of his memories, in bits and pieces, from the day of the accident to the day he woke up in his home. After returning home, Todd and Tricia had to come face to face with the accumulative medical bills of the hospital. Through research and referrals, they turned to Swope, Rodante P.A. for answers.

The Case Profile
Todd needed somebody that was going to live his case and that's exactly what we did.
After reading Todd’s traffic crash report and initial medical records, Partner Angela Rodante wasn’t sure if Todd would be walking or talking. The first time they met, Todd was not only walking and talking but he radiated a positivity that was contagious to everyone around him.
With all the details Todd gave to the team, it shaped out to be a complex case for insurance bad faith. Todd’s insurance company was trying to enforce a settlement that was unfair to him.
Angela committed herself to the case and would not stop until a successful resolution for Todd had been reached. Three years later, that’s exactly what she did.

Todd’s Life Today
Before hiring an attorney, Todd was unsure of how or what he could do to alleviate the mountain of debt that had been slowly building since the accident. After three years, the team at Swope, Rodante P.A. was able to win Todd a significant recovery. Todd and Tricia utilized that money to pay off all the medical bills accrued from the accident. The weight that used to appear in his eyes had been lifted. Todd and Tricia are now happily married and happier than ever. As he puts it, he’s a very lucky person in every aspect of life.
