Swope, Rodante P.A. has added attorney Matthew Paul to its Tampa-based litigation practice, strengthening the firm’s bench in personal injury, trucking litigation, wrongful death and insurance bad faith matters.
Paul will represent individuals and families in cases involving motor vehicle crashes, commercial trucking accidents, catastrophic injuries, premises liability claims and wrongful death. His arrival supports the firm’s continued focus on complex civil litigation for clients facing serious injury and loss across Florida.
The addition comes as plaintiff-side firms continue to compete for young litigators with courtroom training and appellate advocacy experience. For firms handling catastrophic injury and bad faith cases, early exposure to trial strategy, briefing and oral argument can be especially valuable as cases often involve high stakes, contested liability and sophisticated insurance issues.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida in 2021 and graduated cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2024.
During law school, he was active in both the Moot Court Honors Society and Trial Association Honors Society. He also competed in the Earl E. Zehmer National Moot Court Competition in Orlando, where his team advanced to the quarterfinals against law schools from across the country.
Managing Partner Dale Swope said Paul’s advocacy background and commitment to client service align with the values that have shaped the firm for more than four decades.
Paul is a member of The Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section and Young Lawyers Division, the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association.
His hiring reflects Swope, Rodante’s continued investment in developing litigators focused on representing individuals and families in complex injury and insurance disputes. Founded more than 45 years ago, the firm handles matters involving insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, personal injury and wrongful death.
As Florida’s litigation environment remains highly competitive and complex, adding attorneys with trial-focused training supports the firm’s ability to manage demanding civil cases while building the next generation of advocates within its practice.
