What is a Life Care Plan?

A life care plan is a comprehensive document outlining your current and future needs and associated costs. The life care plan is based on published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, data analysis, and research related to your injuries. Uniquely tailored for your needs, life care plans include expenses for anything you would need to function independently, including therapy sessions, wheelchairs or other mobility devices, orthotics or prosthetics, medications, medical supplies, home furnishings, transportation costs, architectural renovations, and attendant care.

A life care plans also includes a report assessing your medical history, physical restrictions, education, employment history, environment, and daily activities. The data is then used by the life care planner to estimate your long-term medical and rehabilitation needs.
